  • BBP London Live Officially Sold Out

    The Black Belt London Live poker tournament is now officially sold out. Registration for the event closed at 12pm earlier today, at which time the maximum of 300 players had been reached with 150 participating in each starting day.

    Black Belt Poker’s event of the year is upon us. With nearly 300 players lining up over the next two days to fight for the sought after prizes and the crown of Black Belt London Live winner. The final day, this Sunday is the culmination of the previous two days play with hopefully around 140 players making it to the final day.

    The final day of the tournament, which is being held at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, Edgware Road London, promises to be a very exciting affair, as the amount of professionals attending has increased.

  • EPT Robbery Berlin Update

    Details are still fairly sketch regarding the robbery by an armed gang on Saturday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin.

    German media sources are reporting that although first accounts were that the gang were a well armed, well organised gang, this seems not to be the case. It appears that the robbers had hand guns and machetes rather than the automatic weapons first thought.

    This seems to echo the thoughts of Andrew Feldman, which were on Facebook within moments of the raid:

  • EPT Berlin Robbed By Armed Gang

    Sketchy reports are coming through that the European Poker Tour event in Berlin was robbed today by men armed with assault rifles.

    Players that were participating in what was day 4 of the event allegedly dived under tables in Grand Hyatt Hotel where the event was taking place. The apparently happened about 2pm (CET)

    Reporting is very blurred at the moment but there are no reports of serious injuries. The gunmen were have thought to have got away with about 5 million euros from the tournament although at this time that has not been confirmed.
